WARRANTY POLICY

Our 5-year Indepal Leather warranty

We stand behind what we make. Indepal Leather bags, belts and wallets are covered for 5 years from the date of purchase against defects in materials or workmanship. All other Indepal Leather products are covered for 2 years.

The warranty covers purchases from boltandbuckle.com.au and from our Brisbane Arcade, Murwillumbah and Alstonville stores. Keep your receipt or order number, because we'll need proof of purchase.

What's covered

• Faulty stitching, seams or edges
• Broken zips, buckles, clasps or hardware
• Straps or handles failing under normal use

What's not covered

• Normal wear and ageing. Scuffs, creases and colour changes are part of leather's character.
• Damage from accidents, misuse, water, heat or unauthorised repairs
• Lost or stolen items

If something goes wrong

We'll repair it where we can. If we can't, we'll replace it with the same or an equivalent style of equal value, or refund it.

Other brands we stock

Clothing, footwear, hats, grooming and gifts from other brands (Industrie, Levi's, Brixton, Goorin Bros, Ferracini, Wild Rhino and more) are covered by Australian Consumer Law and by each brand's own manufacturer warranty. If something's faulty, don't chase the brand yourself: bring it into one of our stores or contact us, and we'll sort it out with them for you.

How to make a claim

1. Contact us with your name, order number or receipt, a photo and a short description of the problem.
2. Bring the item into one of our stores, or post it to one of them (use tracked postage, as we can't take responsibility for items lost in transit):

3. We'll inspect it and get back to you. Posted claims are usually sorted within 3–5 weeks.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our warranty is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Find out more at accc.gov.au.

Caring for your leather

Clean and condition your leather with a quality leather care product, and keep it dry. Treat it well and it'll outlast the warranty by decades.
